MEET THE TEAM

Carlos Cajigas

A native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Carlos began his career with the West Palm Beach Police Department in Florida, first as a police officer and eventually as a digital forensics detective, examiner, and instructor specializing in computer crime investigations. He has more than 12 years of experience in digital forensics, both as a law enforcement officer and as an incident responder for fortune 500 organizations. Carlos is a Certified Instructor for the SANS Institute where he teaches the FOR500: Windows Forensic Analysis course all over the world. His experience also include testimony as an expert witness in the criminal circuit of Palm Beach County, Florida.

His training includes courses offered by Guidance Software (EnCase), National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C), United States Secret Service (USSS), the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS), and SANS. Carlos holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from Palm Beach Atlantic University (FL). In addition, he holds various certifications in the digital forensics field to include the Access Data Certified Examiner (ACE), Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE) from IACIS. Carlos also has multiple certifications from the Global Information Assurance Certification Board (GIAC) to include the Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), the Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), and the Certified Incident Handler (GCIH).
